Baghpat, Sept 19: Traditional handloom products and natural honey from Baghpat will feature prominently at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show in Greater Noida, marking a major effort to connect local artisans and enterprise owners with international buyers. Over twenty stalls have been allocated to the district’s exporters, MSMEs, and young entrepreneurs to exhibit GI-certified home furnishings and regional goods. The Master Weavers Cooperative Society of Khekra, which jointly secured the GI classification for its durable cotton textiles alongside state industry authorities, will demonstrate traditional frame loom techniques during the five-day event.
The district’s presence at the trade fair spans multiple sectors. Four newly registered exporters will manage five display units in Hall 14, complemented by five ODOP stalls showcasing textile producers from Baragaon and Khekra. Beyond home furnishings, agricultural enterprises including Ambrosia Naturals and Baghpat Bloom Producer Company will present local honey and millet-based goods to highlight the area’s agricultural capabilities.
Industrial officials affirmed that the international gathering provides an important avenue for small-scale manufacturers to establish direct connections with overseas markets. In addition to commercial exhibits, the state’s One District One Cuisine pavilion will introduce traditional regional delicacies, including Aminagar Sarai’s Ghevar and local Balushahi, to international visitors. Delegation members and trade representatives from several nations, including Japan, Russia, Vietnam, and Singapore, are expected to explore the district’s commercial displays.
