Mathura, Sept 19: An entrepreneurship drive organized under the UP Rise 2026 campaign convened at GLA University in Mathura, focusing on training students to launch independent business ventures. Over eight hundred participants attended the sessions, which provided guidance on navigating state government enterprise schemes, including the UP Startup Fund and the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana. Organizers also detailed financial support frameworks under welfare programs such as the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the Free Tablet and Smartphone Scheme, and the Mahila Samarthya Yojana to help young founders overcome initial capital hurdles.
A central segment of the gathering involved a competitive pitching round where student teams presented twenty-five distinct business concepts to a panel of corporate mentors. Evaluators selected eight ideas for special recognition based on operational feasibility and technical design. LittleLingos, an artificial intelligence platform developed for early language education, secured the first rank alongside a Rs 25,000 cash award. The teams behind Fitted, an AI fashion application, and Dhritam, a health-monitoring garment developer, jointly earned the runner-up award. Other showcased innovations included logistics tool Book My Sarathi, student platform Campora, travel interface Namaste AI, avionics firm Quantaverse Technologies, and Daksh Dynamics’ hazardous-environment robot.
In his address to the gathering, Chancellor Narayan Das Agrawal asserted that public support programs are creating a favorable environment for youth-led commercial ventures. He stated that young individuals should actively refine innovative concepts into viable operations rather than leaving them as abstract plans. Following its inauguration in Mathura, the UP Rise outreach program will tour selected academic centers across twenty-five districts, with its next event scheduled at Invertis University in Bareilly.
