CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party criticized the Badal family for damaging Sikh institutions and using SGPC resources for political ends. AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu stated that the party’s current state stands in contrast to the legacy of the Akali Morchas, which were built on genuine sacrifices rather than familial influence.
Baltej Pannu maintained that the Badal leadership must answer how individuals under controversy were granted authority within SGPC-run facilities in Sri Anandpur Sahib. He questioned the silence of senior opposition figures, including Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Bikram Majithia, on the allegations made by the complainant. Asking whether SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami functions as a servant of Guru Sahib or a representative of the Badal family, Baltej Pannu affirmed that the Bhagwant Mann government remains focused on state progress while appealing to the Sikh community globally to safeguard historic religious bodies.
