CHANDIGARH — In a move set to streamline administrative operations, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met with representatives of the Revenue Patwar Union on Wednesday, leading to the prompt withdrawal of the union’s agitation.
During the discussions, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that the upcoming recruitment of more than 1,000 Revenue Patwaris would deliver significant relief to citizens seeking daily revenue services. He maintained that reverting the Patwari cadre to the district level will resolve systemic hurdles that previously delayed career progression and created seniority disputes among staff across different regions.
The Chief Minister asserted that the upcoming Council of Ministers meeting will grant formal approval to the proposed cadre restructuring. Emphasizing the need for smooth administrative functioning, he declared that dialogue remains the most effective tool for addressing service-related matters, urging the staff to maintain prompt public delivery and support state welfare measures.
