CHANDIGARH — Speaking to media representatives in Chandigarh on Thursday, AAP MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal criticized the frequent deployment of central agencies against political opponents ahead of election cycles.
Dhaliwal stated that using investigative bodies like the ED and CBI to create fear or destabilize opposition leadership undermines established democratic norms. He maintained that political legitimacy is earned through public trust and performance rather than administrative pressure, pointing to the widespread acceptance of the current state government’s welfare schemes.
The AAP leader asserted that the party’s leadership has previously faced prolonged legal scrutinies without compromising on its core principles. He declared that Punjab’s electorate remains fully aware of political realities and will answer administrative intimidation through the ballot box.
