Lucknow, September 25: Commemorative events were held in the state capital on Friday to mark the 110th birth anniversary of prominent nationalist thinker and scholar Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the observances by offering floral respects to the portrait of the visionary leader at his official residence.
In a statement commemorating the occasion, the Chief Minister affirmed that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya pioneered a model of development that prioritizes the welfare and empowerment of underprivileged sections. He maintained that the thinker’s lifelong commitment to ‘Antyodaya’ established a foundational framework where the upliftment of the last person in the social line remains the highest administrative objective.
Highlighting the contemporary relevance of these core tenets, the state leader declared that the principles of ‘Integral Humanism’ remain vital to modern governance. He asserted that the thoughts and philosophy of the Jana Sangh co-founder continue to light the path toward building a self-reliant, equitable, and progressive India.
