GREATER NOIDA, Sept 26 — Uttar Pradesh is rapidly advancing toward becoming India’s primary growth engine across electronics, artificial intelligence, and semiconductor value chains, Union Minister of State Jitin Prasada announced during an industrial summit.
The Union Minister declared that national vision combined with proactive state governance has created an environment conducive to complete supply-chain integration, spanning component design, hardware manufacturing, and global exports.
“Technology and trade are two important engines of the country’s growth journey, and Uttar Pradesh can achieve new heights through them,” Jitin Prasada affirmed. He maintained that initiatives such as the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme mark a transition from assembly operations toward full component manufacturing capabilities.
Reflecting on operational efficiency, the Union Minister asserted that adopting artificial intelligence must focus on boosting productivity and cost competitiveness for small and medium enterprises. He urged stronger partnerships between academic research centers, such as IIT Kanpur, and private industry to prepare young professionals for emerging roles in technology design and research.
Echoing this regional expansion strategy, IT and Electronics Principal Secretary Alok Kumar maintained that targeted policy frameworks are actively drawing Global Capability Centres and enterprise technology companies to the Lucknow and Kanpur corridors alongside established hubs in Noida.
