CHANDIGARH, SEPT 26 — In a move to regulate regional road infrastructure, the Haryana government issued a official notification detailing toll rates across strategic corridors connecting Gurugram and Faridabad.
The revised pricing structure applies to designated sections on the Gurugram-Faridabad highway, the Crusher Zone road, and the Ballabhgarh-Sohna stretch. Commuters operating cars, station wagons, and three-wheelers will incur a Rs 40 single-journey charge, while commercial logistics vehicles and heavy machinery will be levied up to Rs 350 per trip.
To facilitate frequent commuters, officials introduced daily and monthly pass mechanisms. Drivers making multiple crossings in a single day can pay 1.5 times the single-trip rate starting from midnight, while commercial transporters can secure monthly passes calculated at 30 times the single-trip fee. Non-commercial pass holders will have rates structured at 20 times the single-trip charge.
Transport officials maintained that once toll is paid, vehicles will not face additional charges along the same road section for that specific single crossing.
Providing relief to local residents and agrarian workers, the notification explicitly exempts two-wheelers, agricultural tractor-trolleys, police and firefighting vehicles, ambulances, and non-commercial local movement from paying tolls.
