Greater Noida: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal declared that Uttar Pradesh’s positive mindset and entrepreneurial confidence have redefined the state’s economic identity on the global stage.
Addressing delegates at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida during the UP International Trade Show, the Union Minister affirmed that international trade, foreign direct investment, and tourism will form the core pillars of the state’s next growth phase. He encouraged local manufacturers and MSMEs to utilize India’s expanding network of Free Trade Agreements to bring local specialties and traditional products into international markets while adhering to global standards of quality and innovation.
Recalling the socio-economic challenges of 2017, the Union Minister stated that systematic governance reforms and revenue optimization have effectively eliminated past budgetary constraints. He maintained that enhanced state revenue generation—exemplified by substantial growth in mining and excise receipts—has provided the financial foundation required for modernizing regional transport networks and expanding industrial zones.
The Union Minister called upon industrial leaders and young entrepreneurs to capitalize on the state’s policy framework and skilling initiatives, asserting that joint efforts between the Central and State governments will continue to generate sustainable employment and drive Uttar Pradesh toward a trillion-dollar economy.
