CHANDIGARH: AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu declared that the SGPC management must immediately present a detailed expense report regarding institutional facilities provided during a Bahrain resident’s stay at Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Speaking to reporters, Pannu asserted that official SGPC vehicles, dedicated drivers, sewadars, and sarai accommodations were utilized during the period. He stated that alongside daily operational costs, a direct financial transfer of ₹1 lakh was executed from an SGPC Secretary account in Punjab National Bank to the individual’s personal account.
The AAP spokesperson maintained that forming a 15-day internal inquiry committee appears to be an attempt to defer the issue rather than deliver immediate clarity. He affirmed that the Sikh community across the globe expects complete accountability regarding how sacred contributions are managed and spent by institutional stewards.
Pannu asserted that SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami and SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal must address the media directly rather than releasing pre-recorded video statements. He declared that institutional transparency must be restored, emphasizing that administrative decisions and monetary disbursements involving public trusts must remain open to public scrutiny.
