Mumbai: A major security intervention took place in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex after security staff at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre detained two individuals, including one posing as an official from the Prime Minister’s Office. The detention took place ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled program at the venue.
Police officials reported that security personnel alerted local units after observing suspicious behavior near the entrance. Upon searching the individual acting as the bodyguard, officers recovered a firearm. When asked for formal identification, the 24-year-old suspect failed to provide genuine documentation confirming any association with the PMO.
Law enforcement authorities declared that both individuals were immediately taken into custody and transferred to the local police station for preliminary interrogation. The Crime Intelligence Unit has assumed control of the investigation to determine how the duo breached initial access points.
Senior officers maintained that comprehensive security checks and protocols are actively enforced across the entire Bandra-Kurla region. The administration affirmed that investigation findings will be shared once preliminary interrogations conclude.
