Lucknow/Prayagraj, October 28: Addressing widespread speculation over the advertisement of 17,735 Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) positions in aided secondary schools, the UP Education Service Selection Commission has affirmed that all reservation guidelines have been followed to the letter. Addressing the press in Prayagraj, Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar rejected allegations of quota discrepancies, attributing them to misinformation spread by opportunistic groups.
The Commission highlighted that recruitment in state-aided secondary institutions is governed by school-specific requisitions. Because individual school management committees serve as the appointing authorities, each school represents a standalone unit. Reservations are applied based on the vacant and sanctioned posts within each institution rather than calculated on the combined 17,735 posts statewide.
The legal and procedural format follows the identical statutory guidelines utilized in prior recruitment cycles, including Advertisements 01/2022 and 02/2022. Official clarifications have also been published via the government’s ‘E-Gyan Ganga-U.P.’ digital portal to ensure public clarity.
Appealing directly to candidates, the UPESSC warned aspirants against trusting or sharing unauthenticated social media claims that create unnecessary anxiety. All official announcements, category schedules, and verified details will continue to be published exclusively through the Commission’s designated portal.
