Chandigarh, Oct 10: In a significant push to support former military recruits, the Haryana government has officially exempted ex-Agniveers from all examination requirements for direct recruitment to Group-C state positions. The policy decision, finalized during a cabinet session led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, streamlines the transition of former defense personnel into state public service roles under reserved quotas.
The revised regulations also eliminate physical evaluation criteria—including Physical Screening Tests and Physical Measurement Tests—for candidates seeking entry into designated state services. Affected roles include IRB and SDRF constables, wildlife guards, and fire operator-cum-drivers, enabling streamlined hiring procedures across state public safety and environmental departments.
