CHANDIGARH — Declaring that attempts to undermine law and order will not be tolerated, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann assured rigorous legal proceedings following the fatal attack on social activist Parvinder Singh Jhota.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Chief Minister expressed deep condolences to the grieving family and confirmed that police teams acted swiftly to capture the prime suspect. He underlined that the ongoing investigation will look into all aspects of the case to bring every guilty party to justice.

“The Punjab Police will leave no stone unturned in investigating the case, and exemplary punishment will be ensured for the culprits,” affirmed CM Bhagwant Singh Mann.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state’s clampdown on illegal substances—ranging from synthetic narcotics to illicit pharmaceutical products—remains absolute. He asserted that the government will continue to shield the younger generation from the drug menace without granting leniency to any violators, regardless of their status or influence.

Calling upon the public to maintain mutual trust and brotherhood, the administration emphasized that maintaining public safety remains a central pillar of governance across the region.
