Mann Hits Back at Opposition Strategy Ahead of Sangrur Rally

State government maintains all legitimate demands of slain activist's family have been met

Chandigarh, Oct 26: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann asserted that opposition leaders are panicked by the massive ground support earned by the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. Speaking to the media in Patiala, Mann stated that political opponents are focusing their efforts on Sangrur—a central AAP bastion—ahead of high-profile political visits.

The Chief Minister observed that rival political organizations rarely challenge each other, noting that opposition campaigns remain fixated on his administration. He affirmed that visiting national leaders from various parties routinely target his name because they fear AAP’s rising popularity among voters.

Responding to queries regarding the murder case of anti-drug campaigner Parvinder Singh Jhota, Mann declared that the state administration addressed all genuine demands put forward by the bereaved relatives. He maintained that the decision on when to proceed with the last rites remains with the family and the designated action committee.
