Panchkula, Oct 31: Severe questions regarding campus safety have surfaced in Panchkula after a six-year-old KG student sustained critical injuries in an alleged attack by a third-grade student inside a government school building. According to the complaint, the young girl was misled to the upper floor before being subjected to a violent attack using a stone and a heavy flower pot.
The victim’s family detailed how they discovered the unconscious child after the accused student himself guided them to the spot on the first floor. Relatives asserted that the incident highlights major operational failures among school staff, noting that substantial administrative resources should guarantee basic child security during school hours.
Critiquing the management’s oversight, the family highlighted that the incident occurred despite the presence of functional CCTV systems connected to administrative offices. Community members and relatives have called for a thorough review of surveillance and monitoring standards across all educational institutions in the area to ensure absolute safety for young pupils.
