Chandigarh, April 02: Punjab Finance, Excise, and Taxation Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Wednesday handed over appointment letters to two Excise and Taxation Inspectors and two clerks, stressing their role in strengthening the state’s revenue system.
Congratulating the recruits, Cheema urged them to serve with honesty and dedication. “The Excise and Taxation Department is the backbone of Punjab’s financial system. These appointments reflect our commitment to ensuring efficient revenue collection through a qualified and hardworking workforce,” he said.
Cheema noted that the recruitment aligns with the Punjab Government’s broader policy to generate employment and drive economic growth. “By creating job opportunities, we are working toward sustainable development and empowerment across the state,” he added.
