Gujarat had set Rajasthan a goal of 210 runs to win, but Rajasthan got off to a fast start thanks to a 166-run partnership for the first wicket between Vaibhav and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Prasidh Krishna ended this collaboration by firing Vaibhav. For Rajasthan, this is the largest partnership for any wicket. In this regard, Vaibhav and Yashasvi outperformed Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal, who teamed up for 155 runs against the Delhi Capitals in 2022.
In an IPL inning, Vaibhav records a record eleven sixes
Vaibhav smashed 11 sixes in his innings against Gujarat, which is the most any batsman has ever hit in an IPL 2025 innings. Vaibhav did better in this area than Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma, who smashed ten sixes against the Punjab Kings. Third on this list is Shreyas Iyer, the skipper of Punjab, who struck nine sixes against Gujarat.
Even though Vaibhav is only 14 years and 32 days old, he has already surpassed Yusuf Pathan’s record of 15 years. The fastest Indian player to reach a century in the IPL is now Vaibhav. Yusuf Pathan became the fastest Indian to reach a century in this event in 2010 when he hit a century in 35 balls against the Mumbai Indians. In 2025, his record has now been surpassed. In other words, Yusuf accomplished this feat before Vaibhav was even born, and now this young Bihar batsman has smashed an older record than his own. Chris Gayle, who got a century in 30 balls against the Pune Warriors in 2013, holds the record for the fastest century in the whole IPL.
Blazing Knock: 101 Runs in Just 38 Balls
In T20 cricket, Vaibhav is the youngest batsman to reach a century. At the age of 14 years and 32 days, he accomplished this achievement. In 2013, Vijay achieved a century in Twenty20 cricket. Against Gujarat, Vaibhav reached his half-century in 17 balls and then reached his century in the following 18 balls. Vaibhav played a century innings before being removed. He batted at a strike rate of 265.78 and scored 101 runs in just 38 balls. He hit 11 sixes and seven fours throughout this time.

After scoring 70 runs in 40 balls, he was still undefeated. Riyan Parag scored 32* runs at the same moment. Nitish Rana scored four runs in addition to him.
