Kapurthala, August 28: Law enforcement officials in Kapurthala recovered the remains of twenty-five-year-old Amandeep Singh from a local agricultural field fourteen days after he was reported missing from his residence. The action followed intensive questioning of suspects who confessed to burying the victim after he collapsed during a gathering on the night of August fourteenth.

The police investigation gained traction after family members filed a formal complaint, leading officers to track the victim’s final mobile communications.

Sub-Inspector Dilbag Singh stated that two primary suspects were taken into custody for questioning, which subsequently led authorities to name a third individual in the police report.

Investigators learned that the group had gathered in the fields where the victim’s health deteriorated rapidly after substance consumption. Rather than seeking medical assistance, the individuals abandoned the location and returned later to conceal the body.

Sultanpur Lodhi Deputy Superintendent of Police Dheerendra Verma maintained that the detained individuals acknowledged administering substances to the victim before attempting to cover up the fatality.

The senior official affirmed that medical specialists at the Kapurthala Civil Hospital will determine the exact cause of death once the detailed autopsy report is finalized.

The Fattudhinga police station continues to gather evidence under charges of kidnapping and concealing evidence as part of the ongoing criminal inquiry.
