Mumbai, June 15: The entertainment fraternity lost a familiar face following the demise of 30-year-old television actress Sanchita Ugle in Mumbai. Law enforcement authorities have commenced an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death, which occurred between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Sunday.
The investigation commenced after the family members of the actress alerted the Nalasopara police regarding the situation. Police officials stated that Ugle was discovered hanging from a noose at her family residence in the Achhole village locality of Nalasopara East. Her parents and teenage sister discovered her after returning home and rushed her to the nearby Municipal Corporation Hospital, where doctors confirmed she had already passed away.
Senior police personnel asserted that a thorough search of the premises did not reveal any suicide note explaining the sudden step. To proceed with the statutory legal requirements, the department has filed an accidental death report while investigators continue to search for the underlying cause of the incident. Law enforcement officials maintained that they are awaiting the final findings of the postmortem examination, to which the body was sent, to determine the precise medical cause of death.
Ugle had established herself as a versatile performer with several prominent credits to her name in the television and film sectors. She earned appreciation for her work in long-running television serials including “Wagle Ki Duniya” and “Kumkum Bhagya.” Beyond her extensive television career, which included a memorable role in “Dilwale Dulha Le Jayengi,” she had also expanded into cinema with a performance in the film “Chhawa.”
