Lucknow, November 2: Lucknow is preparing to host a comprehensive showcase of indigenous art and folk traditions during the four-day ‘Rashtriya Janjatiya Bhagidari Utsav’ scheduled from November 23 to 26 at UP Darshan Park.

Announcing the initiative, Culture and Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh stated that the festival, held under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, serves to commemorate the birth anniversary of Loknayak Bhagwan Birsa Munda while providing a national platform for traditional art preservation.

The event will assemble cultural contingents from across the country, featuring participating troupes from states including Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal. Specialized focus will be accorded to the cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh as the designated theme state, along with performances by visiting international artists.

In addition to stage performances, the venue will establish an expansive craft marketplace showcasing tribal heritage products, traditional attire, and authentic regional food stalls. Interactive sessions, book sales on indigenous history, and live demonstrations of traditional crafting techniques will run parallel to stage events.

Educational institutions across the state capital will coordinate student visits to the festival to foster awareness regarding indigenous traditions, folk arts, and historic community practices.
