Mansa, Sept 18: The ongoing legal proceedings in the Sidhu Moosewala assassination case advanced as the Mansa Sessions Court scheduled final arguments on gangster Anmol Bishnoi’s production plea for October 9. The defense application requests the issuance of a production warrant directing Tihar Jail authorities to hand over physical custody to state law enforcement.
The plea, moved in February by defense attorney R.S. Behniwal, asserts that establishing custody remains necessary to proceed with formal questioning and advance the overall trial timeline. Following delays in submitting an official response, state prosecutors formally filed their reply, paving the way for both sides to present oral arguments during the next session.
During the same court appearance, several other accused individuals lodged across various prisons attended the trial via video conferencing. The judicial bench instructed key prosecution witnesses, including medical officers and police personnel, to present themselves on the subsequent date to complete witness examination procedures.
