Chandigarh, Sept 25: The Aam Aadmi Party intensified its criticism of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s response to allegations surrounding its sarai at Sri Anandpur Sahib, with state media in-charge Baltej Pannu accusing the management of trying to let public interest fade. Pannu questioned why SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami released a video message instead of holding an open press conference to address queries from Sikh organizations and intellectuals.
Highlighting gaps in the internal probe, Pannu raised questions regarding how the complainant was accommodated at the facility for an extended duration and who facilitated her stay. He criticized political leaders across parties, pointing to the silence of Sukhbir Singh Badal, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Bikram Singh Majithia, as well as Congress and BJP spokespersons, alleging a tacit understanding to avoid public debate. Pannu affirmed that Sikh institutions belong to the entire community and urged independent voices to maintain pressure until full transparency is delivered.
