Mohali, August 13: The Sadak Surakhya Force operating across Punjab announced plans to expand its coverage footprint while integrating predictive analytics, drone monitoring, and satellite data mapping into traffic management operations. The initiative aims to enhance real-time surveillance and emergency response efficiency along national and state highways.
Reflecting on the operational outcomes achieved over the last two years, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav affirmed that specialized highway patrolling has fundamentally transformed emergency assistance. He declared, “The success isn’t just from new vehicles, it’s a shift in philosophy from enforcement to service.” He maintained that integrating advanced digital tools will allow law enforcement to anticipate traffic congestion, map accident-prone zones, and streamline disaster response protocols.
Highlighting the structural design of the force, Special Director General of Police Amardeep Singh Rai stated that dedicated personnel receive rigorous instruction in medical emergency response and crash analysis. He declared that the primary focus remains focused on rapid victim assistance during critical initial minutes following an incident. He asserted that the unit’s single key performance indicator centers entirely on preserving life and improving road security across the state.
