Hansi, August 15: Official events across Haryana commemorated the 80th Independence Day as Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini spearheaded district ceremonies in Yamunanagar and Hansi, respectively. The celebrations highlighted the state’s historical role in the freedom movement alongside current growth objectives.
Chief Minister Saini unfurled the tricolour at Hansi, inspected the parade contingents, and delivered the state address centered on economic expansion, rural development, and youth empowerment under the “Viksit Haryana” vision.
“We are moving forward with a clear vision to make Haryana a developed state by strengthening infrastructure, enhancing healthcare, and creating opportunities for the youth,” Chief Minister Saini declared. He noted that the administration continues to align its policies with long-term national growth targets.
Tributes were solemnly offered at memorials across the state to honor the heroes of the independence struggle, recognizing their lasting legacy in shaping the nation.
Cultural programs formed an integral part of the observances, with school and college students presenting physical training displays and colorful folk performances showcasing Haryana’s traditions.
In Yamunanagar, Governor Ghosh unfurled the national flag, reviewed the ceremonial parade, and commended citizens for their ongoing efforts toward public service and regional development. Senior administrative and police officials participated in ceremonies held across all districts.
