CHANDIGARH, MAY 26 — Law enforcement officials in Sri Muktsar Sahib have been ordered to submit a forensic evaluation of a viral video tracking alleged caste-specific comments made by state Congress leader Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.
Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi affirmed that the statutory body took formal notice of the digital clip following an official brief from Cabinet Minister Baljit Kaur. The commission stated that the opposition leader faces allegations of employing improper, exclusionary terminology against Dalit communities while addressing public gatherings.
“Congress Party President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has used wrong caste-based words against Dalit castes during the election campaign,” Garhi noted during an administrative briefing on the development.
The state utility has set a strict deadline of May 29, 2026, for the local police department to present its initial findings through the Superintendent of Police.
The directive mandates that investigators verify the technical integrity of the source material alongside the target’s speech patterns. Garhi maintained that the police administration must ensure a thorough collection of voice metrics and digital evidence to cross-reference the video with actual facts before the commission proceeds with formal legal assessments.
