CHANDIGARH, September 2: The Punjab Government has introduced an integrated digital platform, ‘Digi Punjab’, designed to consolidate public services into a centralized, end-to-end online workflow. Unveiling the platform, Good Governance and IT Minister Aman Arora stated that the initiative transitions the state away from fragmented legacy portals toward a unified digital system.
Minister Aman Arora declared that the portal enables citizens to apply for revenue certificates, social security pensions, municipal water connections, and police verification reports directly from mobile devices. The Minister maintained that automated tracking tools will enforce strict accountability, as any processing delays will be directly reflected on the records of responsible officials.
The state government affirmed its commitment to expanding digital governance, noting that historical programs have already issued over two crore QR-coded certificates electronically. Minister Aman Arora asserted that providing equal digital access across border villages and major urban centers will eliminate procedural delays and enhance public delivery mechanisms throughout Punjab.
