Ontario, April 24: A 24-year-old Indian student, Anmoldeep Kaur, has died in Ontario, Canada, after a mysterious collapse in a public park. The incident occurred while the student was walking home from college, a routine she followed daily. Witnesses reported that Kaur sat down on a bench before suddenly losing consciousness, prompting an immediate police response to the site.
Subedar Parminder Singh, the victim’s father, affirmed that his daughter had been living in Canada since 2021. In addition to her studies, she worked within the child care sector and was awaiting the results of her permanent residency application filed last year. The family, residing in the Akalgarh area of Punjab, was reportedly planning a reunion, with Kaur’s mother preparing for a trip to Ontario before the news of the tragedy arrived.
Law enforcement officials in Ontario are treating the death as mysterious and have launched a forensic review of the area. Investigators are currently examining surveillance data and interviewing individuals who were in the park at the time of the collapse. Subedar Singh maintained that the family is seeking answers regarding the exact circumstances that led to his daughter’s death.
Communication between the Canadian police and the family is being facilitated by Kaur’s brother, Dilpreet Singh, who is based in the U.S. While the investigation remains in its early stages, officials have not yet released a formal cause of death, pending the results of a medical examination and the conclusion of local inquiries.
