Car Plunges into Sirhind Canal in Bathinda, Eight Injured

Bathinda, July 23: Eight people, including three women and four children, were injured after the car they were travelling in plunged into the Sirhind Canal in Bathinda on Wednesday.

All eight occupants were rescued from the submerged vehicle and rushed to a nearby hospital. According to officials, one of the injured is reported to be in critical condition.

The accident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle near the canal’s edge. Authorities deployed a crane to pull the car out of the water.

Emergency services and locals responded swiftly, helping avert a potential tragedy. An investigation into the cause of the mishap is underway.
