PATIALA, Nov. 20: The Patiala Municipal Corporation’s General House on Thursday approved two out-of-agenda resolutions—one to name a new auditorium after Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib and another to allot land for a Vishwakarma Community Hall.
Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli, who brought both proposals, thanked Mayor Kundan Gogia and the House for taking them up despite not being part of the scheduled business. “These were long-standing demands, and I am thankful to the House for passing them unanimously,” he said.

The resolution to provide land for the Vishwakarma Community Hall, pending for two decades, prompted visible relief among members of the Ramgarhia community, who have repeatedly raised the demand.

Kohli said the decisions were taken after discussion and with consensus. “Both resolutions will directly benefit the public, and I am grateful to everyone involved,” he added.
