MANSA, June 9 — National Investigation Agency personnel on Tuesday descended on Kulana village to carry out a comprehensive search operation at the home of a local resident suspected of interacting with an overseas threat network. Local administrators confirmed that a team consisting of nearly a dozen federal officers arrived at the home of Yadvinder Singh, alias Preet, to secure structural and financial data connected to Pakistan-based handler Shahzad Bhatti.

The investigative teams concentrated on cross-checking bank account statements and matching contact listings during the multi-hour search. While central officials refrained from sharing specific intelligence dossiers, the operation forms part of an expansive effort to dismantle online radicalization and smuggling operations linked to neighboring countries.

The resident acknowledged to reporters that he had been questioned regarding specific communication channels and old mobile links. Detailing the interaction with the central agency, Yadvinder Singh noted:

“The NIA officials questioned me about some contact numbers and directed him to appear before the agency at its Chandigarh office on June 15.”

Local residents stated that Singh manages agricultural property in the Budhlada region and is currently facing unrelated local narcotic litigation. Agency sources stated that previous inspections had already resulted in the recovery of electronic equipment and hand-held communication systems which are currently undergoing detailed forensic analysis at regional labs.

Federal agencies maintain that handlers operating from abroad rely on localized contacts to establish logistics rings and execute anti-national activities. The ongoing inquiry aims to confirm whether the interaction extended into active operational coordination, with the suspect placed under direct orders to present himself for formal questioning at the state capital next Monday.
