Army Chief Reaffirms Military Commitment To Nation-Building During Official Visit

Chandigarh, August 11: Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh met with Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth at Raj Bhavan to strengthen strategic coordination between civil administration and military command structure. Accompanying the Army Chief were key state and military officials, including Western Command Commander Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh and Secretary to the Governor Vijaykumar Bhavikatti. The official meeting focused on operational preparedness, internal security frameworks, and proactive measures for effective disaster response across the region. Leaders maintained that close coordination between state agencies and armed forces remains vital for effective crisis mitigation and regional welfare.

 

Addressing welfare initiatives, General Dhiraj Seth asserted that the Indian Army remains steadfast in its resolve to support ex-servicemen, advance youth empowerment initiatives, and expand housing infrastructure. Discussions centered on creating career pathways for Agniveers, advancing national self-reliance initiatives, and fostering local athletic talent, with the leadership lauding the outstanding contributions of army sportspersons from Haryana. General Dhiraj Seth declared that military forces will continue working hand-in-hand with state authorities to preserve security and foster development, sealing the meeting with an exchange of mementos.
