New Posthumous Release ‘Kali Hoodie’ Extends Musical Legacy of Sidhu Moosewala

by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh, Oct 16: Late Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala’s 14th posthumous track, ‘Kaali Hoodie’, made a strong impact on streaming platforms Friday, amassing over 700,000 views in just two hours.

The release, which clocks in at 2 minutes and 50 seconds, pairs Moosewala with rapper Bohemia. The track dropped immediately following the Vancouver leg of the ‘Signed to God World Tour’, an ambitious multi-city concert series using holographic technology to simulate the late performer on stage.

The international tour kicked off in Toronto on October 9, drawing massive crowds as the first hologram-based world tour for an Indian musician. The project is part of a larger effort by Moosewala’s family to preserve his artistic catalog following his death in Jawaharke village in 2022.

“His father Balkaur Singh had said that 10 shows will be held in different countries in the first leg of the Hologram Tour,” the management team confirmed.

The new collaboration follows the recent launch of ‘Ghostface Killah’ last month, alongside visual releases for hit tracks like ‘295’, ensuring the singer’s worldwide audience remains connected to his vault of unreleased music.
