Panchkula, Oct 28: Panchkula authorities have intensified their campaign against unplanned urban development, dismantling unauthorized structures and road layouts in Tipra and Raipur villages. The drive reflects ongoing administrative efforts to ensure full compliance with state spatial planning standards.
Guided by Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma, the joint operation was led by District Town Planner Babita Gupta alongside Duty Magistrate Dimpy Rathi and Assistant Town Planner Ashok Kumar. Police forces were deployed to maintain order throughout the demolition process.
Officials used excavators to remove two damp-proof course foundations and internal roadways in Raipur. The demolition crew in Tipra cleared boundary walls, site markings, foundation works, and newly laid access roads that lacked regulatory authorization.
Babita Gupta affirmed that the department will maintain continuous surveillance and action against unapproved residential ventures. She stated that executing development without mandatory Change of Land Use approvals or licences invites strict legal action, maintaining that citizens should inspect official clearance documents prior to real estate investments.
