NEW DELHI, NOV 1: Supporters and party workers belonging to the INDIA alliance reached central locations in New Delhi early Sunday ahead of a major joint protest program focused on electoral integrity. Groups assembled near prominent assembly points across the city before making their way toward the primary event area at Ramlila Maidan.
The collective political initiative involves leaders spanning 21 political outfits, featuring prominent figures such as Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi along with Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav. The planned proceedings involve a vehicular convoy from the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to the Minto Road intersection, followed by a street procession heading through Ajmeri Gate toward Ramlila Maidan.
The public demonstration focuses on procedures linked with the poll body’s Special Intensive Revision program and related electoral list processes. Alliance representatives maintained that procedural transparency requires review while formally registering their demand regarding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Cadres mobilized from several regional states to join the national capital gathering.
Local authorities established wide-ranging security protocols across the rally zone and adjoining travel corridors. Over 4,000 security personnel alongside Central Armed Police Forces units were assigned to manage movement along the designated transit lines, backed by continuous monitoring from a central command center overseeing more than 200 installed surveillance units.
