Chandigarh, March 18 — A woman was attacked and robbed of her gold chain in broad daylight at a vegetable market in Sector 49, police said on Tuesday.
The complainant, a resident of Sector 48, was grocery shopping when an unidentified man snatched her chain, causing her to lose balance and fall. She later lodged a complaint at the Sector 49 police station.
An FIR under Section 304(2) (snatching) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered. Police are scanning CCTV footage from the market and nearby areas to track the accused.
