LUCKNOW, OCT 2 — The industrial landscape of Bundelkhand is advancing rapidly as land acquisition for the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) passed 28,874 acres out of the targeted 56,662 acres spread across 33 villages. State officials confirmed that 616 acres were integrated into the land bank during September 2026 alone, providing a foundation for upcoming commercial and industrial projects.

Initial ground execution centers on a 1,000-acre portion of the 2,320-acre Activation Area, where sector draft plans are nearing finalization. The state government has approved detailed project reports for ₹447.01 crore worth of foundational utilities, encompassing road corridors, power transmission systems, drainage networks, administrative headquarters, and water supply frameworks. In a critical inter-state development, the Madhya Pradesh government formally agreed to allocate 216 MLD of water to meet the industrial zone’s operational requirements.

The project has attracted attention from global and domestic firms across automotive, defense, healthcare, and IT sectors, including Motherson, BEML, Sify, and the Lulu Group. Multimodal connectivity plans—including links to the Agra-Gwalior six-lane expressway, national rail networks, and the UP Defense Industrial Corridor—are advancing in tandem to support regional logistics.
