Ludhiana, August 8: Top organizational leaders from the Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party unit have been summoned to New Delhi for an unscheduled meeting convened by national leader Nitin Nabin.
State party president Kewal Dhillon alongside organizing secretary Mantri Srinivasulu abruptly halted their organizational engagements in Ludhiana to head for the capital following instructions from central leadership.
The urgent summons coincides with heightened political activity following Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi a day prior.
Party sources maintained that the high-level agenda centers heavily on addressing internal dissatisfaction stemming from the formation of the new state executive body. Resignations submitted by former minister Tikshan Sood and his faction have brought internal organizational challenges to the fore, requiring immediate central intervention.
Section leaders within the party asserted that the deliberations will also focus on evaluating future electoral plans for the state, building upon earlier consultations conducted by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding political readiness in Punjab.
