Ludhiana, June 17: Ludhiana police and state intelligence units launched an extensive anti-sabotage operation on Wednesday following an anonymous email that threatened public installations and political figures. The communication, sent directly to the Municipal Corporation and the Deputy Commissioner’s office, claimed a human bomb would be used to disrupt the city’s key administrative hubs. The development comes approximately three weeks after a comparable scare involving local leadership offices and a prominent Punjabi artist’s residence.

The anonymous sender listed specific afternoon timelines for targeted explosions at the municipal headquarters, the district secretariat, and local railway tracks. Investigators noted that the rhetoric explicitly mentioned national and state leaders, using extreme language that mirrored previous false alarms recorded earlier this year.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Dev Singh maintained that thorough physical inspections yielded no suspicious materials. “After receiving the information about the bomb threat email, police teams thoroughly checked the buildings and found nothing,” the law enforcement officer declared, assuring the public that daily operations could proceed securely.

Specialist units are currently cross-referencing the email’s structural data with previous hoax patterns to determine if the messages originate from a single source. A series of identical threats sent on May 18 regarding school campuses and the Halwara Airport had also triggered broad security responses before being declared completely harmless.

District administrative officials asserted that safety frameworks remain highly responsive to any potential digital disruptions. Cyber investigators stated that technical details including IP addresses and digital footprints are being examined to swiftly pinpoint the accountability behind the scare.

The state apparatus continues to keep intelligence networks on high alert to discourage malicious actors from utilizing electronic messaging platforms to cause public anxiety. Security agencies affirmed that public safety parameters around government installations have been adequately reinforced.
