Hoshiarpur, June 16: A severe domestic dispute has ended in tragedy in Hoshiarpur’s Mukhliana village after a woman allegedly struck and killed her mother-in-law inside their shared residence. The incident was uncovered by the victim’s son, a local motorcycle mechanic, who returned from a hospital stay to discover his mother, Nirmal Kaur, lying in a pool of blood within her bedroom.
The local police administration has booked the mechanic’s wife, Prabhjot Kaur, under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita following a rapid preliminary inquiry. The critical breakthrough in the case came from a direct eyewitness account provided by a next-door neighbor who witnessed the immediate aftermath of the assault.
Local police representatives declared that the family had been struggling with persistent internal arguments for an extended period. Reflecting on the traumatic discovery, the complainant stated, “A neighbor informed me at 3 am that my wife had climbed over the terrace with blood on her clothes, confessing she had hit my mother with a brick.”
The neighborhood witness stated that the accused appeared highly visibly shaken when she crossed over the rooftop wall immediately following the confrontation. The suspect reportedly admitted that a sudden argument with the elderly relative had rapidly escalated, prompting the impulsive and violent actions.
The state police apparatus affirmed that specialized teams are currently gathering additional circumstantial materials from the crime scene to build a complete judicial timeline. Authorities maintained that the exact cause of death will be formally established through the impending medical autopsy report, promising a transparent and thorough legal process.
