Chandigarh, Sept 15: Education authorities in Punjab issued a statewide alert warning job seekers against fraudulent job listings offering positions in government schools. Officials from the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan office stated that fake vacancy lists and advertisements claiming to recruit 1,000 vocational trainers have been spread through online messaging channels.

The department affirmed to all district secondary education officers that no hiring drive for these posts has been sanctioned. Authorities asserted that citizens should exercise caution, verify official portals for recruitment updates, and avoid sharing unverified job notices on social platforms.

Officials maintained that administrative steps are underway to counter fraudsters attempting to exploit job seekers using fake documentation. State representatives declared that full cooperation from the public in identifying suspected scammers remains vital to ending these fraudulent hiring schemes.
