Border officials stated that Palwinder Singh, Jasmer Singh, Amitoz Bajwa, and Sahibjot Singh were implicated in extortion-related offences and violence before being processed for departure.
Law enforcement agencies across Canada continue addressing organized crime networks, supported by an allocated $30.4 million under the federal Border Plan to enhance removal capacity and hire 1,000 new border officers. Financial intelligence reports asserted that criminal groups have systematically targeted South Asian diaspora communities, while local law enforcement bodies, including the Calgary Police Service, have pressed dozens of extortion-related charges in recent enforcement drives.
Border agency records show approximately 400 inadmissible individuals are currently removed each week, building on the 23,160 total removals completed in 2025. Agency leaders declared that dedicated immigration enforcement officers remain focused on conducting investigations, holding administrative hearings, and executing court-ordered removals to safeguard public safety.
