CHANDIGARH/PATIALA, MAY 11 — Sunita Rani, a resident of Patiala, is currently undergoing specialized treatment for kidney stones and diabetic complications, supported entirely by the Punjab government’s Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana. The 46-year-old patient sought help at Mata Kaushalya Hospital after severe pain and swelling made daily tasks impossible, eventually securing a Sehat Card for her household.

Diagnostic tests revealed that Rani required surgery for stones in the ureter, but high glucose levels necessitated a managed treatment plan prior to the procedure. Hospital officials affirmed that the patient is responding well to the current 10-day medicinal course and that a date for surgery will be finalized once her vitals are stable.

“The doctors examined me and diagnosed kidney stones,” Rani stated. She asserted that the government healthcare scheme is a vital resource for families to receive timely care without worrying about expenses. She further noted that her condition is improving at a steady pace under the supervision of hospital specialists.

Medical professionals stated that the rise in such cases is often linked to lifestyle factors and dehydration. They declared that programs like the Sehat Yojana are instrumental in encouraging patients to seek help before complications become life-threatening.

“While my treatment is still ongoing, I now face recovery with hope instead of fear,” Rani affirmed. She declared that the scheme ensured quick registration and regular medical monitoring, which has restored her confidence during a significant medical emergency.
