RAJPURA, OCT 2 — Authorities have initiated strict measures against social media agitators linked to the recent student unrest at Chitkara University, arresting two men accused of fueling campus agitation through false online narratives.
Police officials stated that an analysis of viral messages and digital communications led to the identification of the accused, who were actively spreading misleading information to provoke students on campus. Following the initial detentions, law enforcement agencies broadened the scope of the probe to trace additional individuals involved in creating and amplifying the disturbing content.
SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans affirmed that the administration is maintaining a vigilant watch over online channels to safeguard educational institutions from external disruption. Ten additional suspects have been formally booked under the ongoing inquiry at Banur police station, with dedicated police squads conducting raids to execute further arrests.
Officials maintained that law enforcement will continue monitoring social media platforms to ensure tranquility and safety across university campuses in the region.
