CHANDIGARH, July 29 —— Reaffirming a policy of collaborative engagement over administrative confrontation, Aam Aadmi Party leaders noted that the state government resolves worker grievances through structured consultation. AAP Punjab Media Incharge Baltej Pannu asserted that recent accords with utility workers, healthcare staff, and municipal personnel reflect the administration’s commitment to viewing employees as partners in state progress.
Addressing media representatives in Chandigarh, the party general secretary explained that ministerial sub-committees led by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema continue regular consultations to ensure uninterrupted public service delivery.
“The Bhagwant Mann Government believes in dialogue rather than confrontation,” Baltej Pannu declared. “Discussions with PSPCL employees have concluded successfully and they have resumed work. Talks with sanitation workers have also been largely resolved.”
The ruling party representative outlined extensive public recruitment statistics, detailing 16,316 positions filled in School Education, 14,723 in Home Affairs, 8,706 in Power, 5,681 in Local Government, and 4,758 in Health and Family Welfare. He added that over 15,000 long-serving contract staff across teaching and forestry sectors have transitioned to regular status.
Looking ahead to future electoral contests, Baltej Pannu expressed confidence that voters will judge the administration strictly on its developmental trajectory.
“Punjab is steadily moving towards becoming a prosperous and vibrant ‘Rangla Punjab’ under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann,” Baltej Pannu asserted. “The AAP will seek a renewed mandate from the people on the basis of its performance and development-oriented governance in the next Assembly elections.”
