PSPCL authorities maintained that technical transitions from legacy systems to Oracle software, combined with previous meter reader union strikes, caused widespread average billing across various circles. These operational adjustments resulted in inflated totals for numerous households.
Acknowledging the issue, government officials declared that field staff must not initiate default proceedings or disconnect services for unpaid balances arising from system errors.
Authorities stated that full billing corrections will be processed, ensuring no consumer faces disruption of essential services during the rectification process.
