by TheReportingTimes

Samrala, May 13: At a massive public gathering in Samrala, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann declared that Punjab has emerged as the national leader in school education, surpassing Kerala and Delhi. Citing recent NITI Aayog data, Mann affirmed that the state’s focus on smart classrooms and teacher training over the last four years has successfully modernized the primary and middle-school systems.

The Chief Minister stated that education is the primary tool for eradicating poverty and social backwardness. He maintained that unlike previous rulers who remained “confined behind the walls of their palatial residences,” his government interacts directly with the public to shape citizen-centric policies. He declared that the transition of governance has allowed for initiatives like the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, which provides health cards for free treatment up to ₹10 lakh to 65 lakh families.

“Education is the light that removes darkness from society,” Mann asserted. He noted that the state is also making significant strides in water conservation, increasing canal water usage for irrigation from 22% to over 80% by laying 14,000 kilometers of new watercourses.

The Chief Minister affirmed that his administration is using sports as a weapon against the drug menace. He announced that 3,100 newly built stadiums would be dedicated to the public by July 15 to encourage youth participation in physical activities. Mann maintained that when the energy of the youth is channeled into excellence, the grip of narcotics on the state will naturally weaken.

Regarding the opposition, Mann asserted that the Congress remains a “divided house” focused on internal leadership struggles rather than public service. He declared that the AAP government would continue to spend every rupee of the public exchequer judiciously, highlighting that 90% of households now receive free electricity and over 65,000 youth have secured government jobs without the influence of corruption.
