Law Enforcement Launches Cyber Probe To Trace Source Of Threat Messages

by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh, August 11: Multiple major educational institutes in Chandigarh were placed on high alert following threat emails received by school administrations on Tuesday morning. Affected locations—including Carmel Convent School, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, St John’s High School, St Stephen’s School, and Vivek High School—notified law enforcement immediately after discovering the warnings. Specialized police units, accompanied by bomb disposal personnel and sniffer dog teams, carried out anti-sabotage inspections across all targeted campuses. Police representatives affirmed that anti-sabotage checks concluded with zero hazardous items recovered.

The preventive response led school managements to evacuate buildings systematically and safely secure students away from physical structures. Authorities noted that elevated vigilance remains enforced across the region in light of upcoming Independence Day security arrangements, ensuring all emergency calls are addressed with maximum priority. Cyber crime teams have commenced a technical investigation to analyze the digital footprint of the emails and locate those behind the disruptive messages. Law enforcement officials maintained that additional precautionary measures remain active around educational institutes to guarantee public safety.
