Punjab Launching ‘FastTrack’ Portal to Streamline Industrial Approvals

CHANDIGARH, June 10: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal are launching a major industrial reform initiative aimed at transforming the state’s business environment, asserting that the changes are “not the end, but the beginning of a movement.”

Addressing the media, Mann said the newly launched FastTrack Punjab Portal will ensure all necessary approvals for investors are processed within 45 days of application submission. “From delay to digital, from confusion to clarity—Punjab is replacing discretion with discipline,” the Chief Minister said.

The portal is a key feature of a broader push to make ease of doing business more than just a buzzword. “We want it to become a culture. Our governance is no longer reactive—it is proactive, precise and professional,” Mann stated.

He emphasized that whether an investor is a startup founder, a global conglomerate or a first-time entrepreneur, the state offers more than incentives. “Punjab welcomes them with integrity and intention,” he added.

The Chief Minister underlined that bureaucratic bottlenecks were being cleared out. “Our officers are no longer just regulators. They will now serve as facilitators,” he said, highlighting the shift in administrative mindset aimed at enabling economic growth and investment confidence.

The initiative is expected to significantly cut down the bureaucratic lag that has long hindered business operations in the state. The launch of the FastTrack portal is being viewed as a critical step in establishing Punjab as a competitive industrial destination on the national map.
