The DGCA has launched a formal investigation into the crash-landing, which involved the Deputy Chief Minister, two members of his staff, and two pilots. Emergency crews were dispatched to the Pune district facility immediately following the report of the downed aircraft.
“The aircraft went down during an attempted landing,” an aviation official said. “None of the five people on board survived the crash.”
The manifest included a personal security officer and an attendant traveling with the Deputy Chief Minister, along with the Pilot in Command and the First Officer. Security forces and medical teams remained at the Baramati airport throughout the morning to manage the crash site.
“Details about the cause of the crash are awaited from officials,” a representative of the local administration mentioned during a press briefing.
